I came to Northwest Christian University in 1994 shortly before finishing my doctoral program. Before that I spent 10 years in the ministry serving congregations in California, Illinois, Idaho, and Alberta. My work at NCU has evolved from being an adjunct professor to a full time teaching position. While my academic training is primarily in philosophy, I have a strong affection for topics in theology and history as well, especially the American Civil War. My favorite classes to teach include Ethics, and Engaging World Thought and Culture. For me, curious students are a great source of energy and inspiration. I look forward to the give and take of the classroom where I can partner with students in the utter joy of learning. I come to class everyday expecting to learn something important from my students.
