Michael grew up in the small town of Canby, Oregon where he
developed his passion for leadership and co-curricular involvement.
Michael graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a BA in
history and then from California Lutheran University with an MS in
Counseling & Guidance - specialization in College Student
Personnel. He has been working in higher education for over 15
years and feels called to be a part of the transformational
experience that is Christian Higher Education.
Michael's interests include spending time with family, church,
football and basketball (even the fantasy kind), reading, movies,
theatre, and cheering on his kiddos in their involvements.
Favorite Bible Verse: Don't let anyone look
down on you because you are young, but as an example for the
believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity. (I
Timothy 4:12)
Favorite NCU Memory: Too many to list just one.
I love Beacon Madness, Chapel, new student Orientation, and all
Beacon sporting events.
Favorite hangout spot in Eugene: coffee houses,
home, Autzen Stadium, and making the journey to Reser Stadium
whenever possible.
