Frank Paliotta is a native New Yorker having relocated to the 'Duck' state, upon his marriage to Patty in 2009.  He graduated from Manhattan College in Riverdale, New York in May 1968 and started his professional career with Arthur Andersen and Co., a big 8 CPA firm at that time. After leaving Arthur Andersen for a job as Controller for one of their audit clients, he spent the next 22 years in industry as a Controller, VP of Finance and Chief Financial Officer before obtaining a position in academia, a life-long dream of his.

Frank has spent the last  20 years teaching accounting, finance and business courses at colleges in New York City, Long Island and currently in Eugene. After graduating from Manhattan College with a Bachelor's degree in accounting, Frank also  earned his Master's degree in accounting from Manhattan.

While working in academia, Frank attended New York University and worked on his doctorate degree in business education, and completed all classes and a portion of his doctoral thesis.  He is hopeful of completing his dissertation in the near future.

Frank is also a Certified Public Accountant and when not in the classroom he maintains a private tax practice with about fifty individual and six corporate clients.

Frank teaches primarily accounting and tax classes and occasionally business and finance courses.  He is currently a member of  two professional organizations. His research interests are in the areas of auditing and tax.

Frank and his lovely wife have five sons and one daughter, four daughters-in-law and at last count ten grandchildren. Having grown up in the Bronx, Frank is a devoted fan of New York sports teams, especially the Yankees. He is also a huge Beacon and Duck fan. His hobbies include playing chess and gin rummy.
