Ron Palmer, Ph.D.

A native of Portland, Oregon (and a graduate of Jefferson High School), Ron studied history at Seattle Pacific University, Stanford University and the University of California at Los Angeles.  After serving a three-year term as director of an adult education program in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, he taught Latin American History and Third World Studies at Seattle Pacific and Pepperdine Universities.  An advocate for international education, he has coordinated study abroad programs in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Mexico and Nicaragua.  He joined the faculty at Northwest Christian in August, 2006. 

Involved in the church and community, he has directed the youth, education, men's and music ministries in Seattle and Eugene and served as Puget Sound Coordinator for Bread for the World.  He has three children, Celia, Geoff and Demeka, and two Argentine Cocker Spaniels, Bella and Malibu.
