Dr. Schamp is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in
Oregon. She has worked in agency, non-profit and private
practice settings, providing therapy services to couples,
individuals, and families. While Dr. Schamp has worked with a
wide variety of mental health issues, much of her work has focused
on therapy with Christian women experiencing intimate partner
violence. She currently sees clients on a limited basis at
the Pastoral Counseling Center of the Mid-Willamette Valley.
Research interests include issues of social justice in light of
Christian spirituality, and intimate partner violence within the
Christian church.
"There is something very sacred to me about the work that I do,
both with clients and with students. I have the privilege of
joining people on their journeys toward healing, and in discovering
what God has in store for their lives. There is nothing that
matches the joy of seeing lives changed and restored, or the growth
in students as they develop into counselors who will facilitate
healing and growth in others. It is an honor for me to be
able to do what I do, and I love it!"
