Nani Skaggs, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor, Psychology
Phone: 541-684-7230
Office: PFB 227

A native of Virginia, Dr. Skaggs loves living in Oregon and has been teaching at NCU since 2009. Prior to joining the faculty at NCU, she was an instructor at Oregon State University and Lane Community College.

"I love teaching here at NCU because of the enthusiasm of my students and the integration of faith and learning. It is fulfilling for me to guide students in their thinking about psychology in their daily lives. We're all influenced by psychology because we're all human. It is important to me that students realize that the emphasis of psychology is to understand behavior and mental processes, both what is normal as well as abnormal. What I enjoy about teaching the science of psychology is challenging students to think critically and evaluate evidence to understand themselves and others."
