A freelance orchestrater, arranger, accompanist and worship
consultant, Melissa was previously the director of Evening
Service Instrumental Worship for the Crystal Cathedral in
Garden Grove, California.
In 2003 she was married to Matthew Stock and moved up to Eugene
from Southern California. Stock is now in her eighth year as
an adjunct professor at Northwest Christian University, teaching
theory, orchestrating, Finale and class piano in addition to
directing the Concert Choir, Community Choir, VIRTUE, Men's Quartet
and the Chamber Ensemble.
Melissa is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, with
a degree in Sacred Music. For five summers Melissa was the worship
leader for the Oregon Christian Convention in Turner, Oregon. Over
the past four years she has worked in conjunction with the Lane
County Sheriff's Department in producing a inspirational concert to
benefit the American Cancer Society. In 2005 she worked on the set
of a feature film as a piano coach as well as recording the rough
tracks and being the hand double for Erika Christensen.
Melissa has been a guest speaker for the National Association of
Church Musicians, a seminar speaker for Worship Northwest, sang for
the White Sox for four years in Chicago, conducted and arranged for
the Hour of Power orchestra at the Crystal Cathedral, and played
ragtime piano for Knott's Berry Farm. She has orchestrated,
published, performed on and arranged music for numerous live shows
and CD's worldwide. Melissa sang with and directed numerous
professional Dickens Caroling groups in the Los Angeles and Orange
County areas for 5 years. She is a member of the Junior League of
Eugene, USPSA, and NATS.
