Associate Professor of Accounting

This faculty position is part of a dynamic and professional faculty team in the School of Professional Studies. This position includes full-time teaching load of accounting courses, as well as program oversight for the undergraduate Accounting major offered in two formats: (1) traditional undergraduate, (2) Adult Degree Program, and (3) MBA in Accounting.

Doctoral degree desirable. MBA or Master’s in accounting and CPA required. Previous college teaching experience required. Significant business experience in the accounting profession required, as well as knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.

Professor of Business

The position will teach general business and management courses in the school of professional studies with potential focus in the area of marketing. The position serves all student populations and formats in the area of business and management. This includes face-to-face and online course development for traditional, professional, and non-traditional students in undergraduate business and the MBA programs at both introductory and advanced levels.

Volleyball Coach

Under the direction of the Athletic Director, the Volleyball Coach is reponsible for coaching, planning, organizing, recruiting, and coordinating the Northwest Christian University Volleyball Program.

Candidates should possess any combination equivalent to a bachelor's degree or National License Certification in a related field, and extensive participation in the sport of Volleyball. Five years of consecutive coaching experience at the college level is preferred.

Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Mental Health Counseling

The is position will be part of a dynamic group of School of Education and Counseling Faculty. Candidates should have a strong competence for teaching Clinical Mental Health Counseling courses in both conventional classroom and online formats including, but not limited to, Counseling Theories; Addiction Counseling; The Helping Relationship (counseling skills/procedures); Diagnosis and Appraisal; Clinical Practicum I & II; Human Growth and Development; Group Dynamics; Ethical and Legal Issues; Counseling in a Multicultural Society; and Lifestyle and Career Development. Experience/knowledge of play therapy and working with adolescents is highly desirable.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE PROGRAM ADJUNCT FACULTY

Northwest Christian University is seeking to fill part-time, fixed-term positions for Criminal Justice instructors by developing a pool of adjunct applicants for potential 2014 teaching opportunities. The successful candidate will have a minimum of a master’s degree with substantial course work in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or Police Science with adult teaching experience. Candidates will also have a minimum of five years continued law enforcement experience. Candidates should be able to teach a variety of undergraduate level classes such as Introduction to Criminal Justice, Criminal Investigation, Criminal Evidence, and Criminal Procedures. The successful candidate will be required to teach within an online class platform and utilize the NCU e-mail system for all correspondence.
