Missions Fundraiser Provides Gleeful Evening

This year's Mr. Beacon competition brought forth an eclectic group of gentlemen. Sam Robison, Ryan Vermilyea, Cody Aucoin, Jeremy Aucoin, Bryan Crocker, Jason Haggard and Myron Clements all participated in this fundraiser for the NCU missions team.

Since the program this year was "Glee" themed, new elements were added to the competition, such as the "Karaoke Challenge". During this portion, contestants chose a popular karaoke song out of a fish bowl and had to perform it on the spot. This proved to be quite comical. The program still included some of the traditional, fan-favorite segments, as well.

The show opened with a music dance number choreographed by NCU's own Karly Welty, which featured contestant Sam Robison being suspended high in the air. The participants worked hard for several weeks practicing the dance, designing costumes, and scheming ways to win the judge's hearts.

Ultimately, Sam Robison was named Mr. Congeniality and Ryan Vermilyea was crowned Mr. Beacon. But the real winners in the Mr. Beacon program were the missions team.
