NCU Launches New Website

Release Date: Thursday, January 08, 2009

Northwest Christian University has announced plans to launch a brand new northwestchristian.edu website on August 1st. In addition to a fresh look designed to coordinate with current student recruitment efforts, the website has been restructured with the intention of making information more easily accessible to the public.

Led by the efforts of the Website Steering Committee, the new site will offer a clean navigational structure that is in line with the school's statement of purpose for the website. This statement of purpose, which reflects the mission to market the University prospective students, alumni, prospective employees, and the community, states that NCU will give people an easy and simple means to find the most up-to-date information on the Northwest Christian University community and their educational offerings.

Northwest Christian University recently launched a new Academic Resource Center, along with a bolstered effort to grow educational offerings to the evening and online learning populations. This new focus is front and center on the updated northwestchristian.edu website, which will now be navigated through three distinct portals for undergraduate, graduate and evening/on-line students.

Michael Fuller, Vice President for Student Development and Enrollment, and a member of the Website Steering Committee said, "It was very important to us at NCU that we created a website with distinctive paths into our three student populations. Each of our student populations has specific needs and it only made sense to create a website that would address these needs."

In addition to the strengthened navigational structure, which includes bread crumb navigation at the top of each page, northwestchristian.edu has also undergone some upgrades and improvements in other areas. The biggest of these new features is the inclusion of photo galleries, which will be used to promote events and serve as a resource to showcase major events at Northwest Christian after the fact.

The new website for Northwest Christian University will launch on August 1st and can be accessed by visiting http://www.northwestchristian.edu.
