Every student who has, currently is, or will in the future
attend Northwest Christian will have passed through the front doors
of the Martha Goodrich Administration Building at some point or
another in their stay. The building recently celebrated its 100th
anniversary, and to commemorate this event it was decided that a
brick path be laid in front of the building, replacing the current
sidewalk which was in need of a touch up anyway.
This pathway idea turned into a fundraiser for the NCU Fund of
Excellence and provided a relatively inexpensive way for Alumni and
current students to leave their mark for all future generations to
come. For only $100, anyone could become a "Goodrich Giver" and
purchase a paver for the path, inscribed with a saying or name of
their choice which have been placed along the path. There are also
additional pavers, slightly larger in size, which offer a bit of
the school's history. Each one is inscribed with the past and
present names of the institution.
A Goodrich Path Dedication Service was held during Homecoming
Reunion Weekend on Friday, February 19th. Selected current and
former students were chosen to pray for the pathway and for NCU as
a place to reflect on the past, celebrate the present and aim for a
bright future for Northwest Christian University.
For anyone who did not purchase a brick and would like to, there
will be a second installment early this summer. The bricks can be
purchased for $100. To inquire about purchasing your brick, please
feel free to call the Office of Advancement at (541) 684-7244.
