How can there be just one? Probably "Stranger than
Fiction."
How Did You Arrive at NCU:
I met Dr. Paula Belcher through mutual work together on a
project. There was an opening at that time and she encouraged me to
apply. I've been here ever since!
What's the most surprising thing about NCU:
How respectful and tolerant people are towards varying
beliefs and ways of knowing God. I think that there is something
here for everyone.
Favorite Class to Teach:
Research Methods and Appraisal. I like to teach classes
that student perceive as difficult-it's very rewarding to watch
students master material that they didn't think they could
initially.
Research/Special projects:
Parental Alienation Syndrome; trauma; career counseling
and occupational issues.
Favorite Thing About Students and Faculty:
There is a great energy here on campus. This is a
wonderful place to learn, grow, prepare for a career, learn about
relationships, and get to know yourself.
Advice for Incoming Students:
Be open to many possibilities. Realize that this is just
one step on your whole journey of life-you have so many great
experiences coming in your years ahead!
Greatest Life Accomplishment so Far:
Finishing a doctoral dissertation.
I Like My Job Becauseā¦
it's flexible, community-oriented, and I get to do all the
things that I love to do: teach, counsel, research, advise, and
mentor others.
