How Did You Arrive at NCU:
My Senior year of college I was in the job search process,
ready to go abroad for a year, when I heard of the job opening at
NCU. God definitely had His hands in the whole process, and
when I came for my final interview, I have never felt more at peace
with a decision in my entire life. I felt instantly connected
to NCU! I got the job the day before I graduated, and moved
up to Oregon a month later!
What's the most surprising thing about NCU:
That although we are a small college, God is doing HUGE
things here! I am amazed at the spirit our students have the desire
they have to serve the surrounding community!
Favorite Class to Teach:
The only class I have taught is FYS, however I really do
enjoy it!
Research/Special projects:
I am currently getting my Masters at Oregon State
University in College Student Services Administration with a
specialization in Counseling.
Favorite Thing About Students and Faculty:
I know almost everyone!! It is nice to work in a place
where you are constantly working together to help our students
succeed, both in and out of the classroom!
Advice for Incoming Students:
Be open for spectacular things to happen! Try to not come
with too many pre-conceived ideas about what college is like! Live
in the moment! Get Involved! Befriend your Faculty and Staff!
Be ready to GROW, lots!
Greatest Life Accomplishment so Far:
My Senior year of college I ran the LA Marathon…26.2
miles…and finished it!
I Like My Job Because…
Every day is different and every day I get to have
conversations with students! I had amazing mentors throughout
college who helped me get to where I am today, and I want nothing
more than to do that for others.
