How Did You Arrive at NCU:
I taught at state schools for fourteen years, always
hinting at my faith but never openly declaring it. The NCU job
posting was a dream come true.
What's the most surprising thing about NCU:
How many of the students cheerfully embrace working hard,
doing the right thing, and having integrity under pressure. They're
exploding college student stereotypes all over the place.
Favorite Class to Teach:
Public speaking.
Research/Special projects:
I study professionals. Within each profession, the members
argue with one another about the right way to pursue their work,
and from those arguments it's possible to derive the profession's
values.
Favorite Thing About Students and Faculty:
Warm hearts and a love for Christ.
Advice for Incoming Students:
Even when you think you know what level of preparation and
thoroughness is required, you don't. Wait and see for yourself.
Greatest Life Accomplishment so Far:
Being a good uncle to two nephews and two nieces,
including helping them learn to love reading.
I Like My Job Becauseā¦
I get paid to do what I love, and have worship services
during working hours. What's not to like?
