Why did you choose to attend NCU:
Andrew: It was close to home and liked the look of the
program.
Heather: It was close to home, and in doing research on different
colleges, NCU had the kind of program I wanted to be in as well as
reasonable tuition.
What's the most surprising thing about
NCU:
Andrew & Heather: Everyone I've met has been so willing to help
in any way they can, because they care about you, even though they
may not know you real well.
What are you involved in on campus:
Andrew: Just classes
Heather: Well, not much except classes, because I also work
full-time.
Favorite Professor:
Andrew & Heather: Dave Fenner
Favorite Class:
Andrew: I don't know.
Heather: Counseling Strategies and Treatment (so far), because it
was very practical for a counseling career.
Favorite NCU Event:
Andrew: The NCU basketball games when I can go.
Heather: Soup nights on those cold December nights, where I also
get to meet new students and faculty.
Favorite Thing About Students and Faculty:
Andrew: The closeness of the cohort and the caring
professors working with us.
Heather: The welcoming atmosphere and the camaraderie that has
developed with my classmates and professors.
Advice for Incoming Students:
Andrew: Make sure you find a way to have some fun.
Heather: Always keep an open mind, because you never know with whom
you'll come into contact with, and think outside the box.
Greatest Life Accomplishment so Far:
Andrew: Meeting Christ and choosing to follow Him.
Heather: Coming to Oregon from Iowa to go to school to become
a counselor, as well as marrying a wonderful, godly man.
