Registration
How do I register?
- Fill out a Registration Form.
- Review your schedule with your advisor and have them sign
it.
- Drop it off at the Office of the Registrar during your
prescribed registration time in the Schedule of Classes.
When do I register?
Pre-registration generally occurs the eighth week of each
term. For exact dates, refer to the academic calendar.
When/how will I get my schedule?
Schedules can be viewed and printed from the "Schedule/Advisor"
section of BeaconNet.
How will I know where my classes are?
Class locations are indicated on your schedule.
How many credits should I take?
Twelve (12) credits is considered full-time for undegraduates. A
typical credit load is 15-16 credits. Your advisor can assist you
with further questions regarding credit load for your particular
program.
How do I add or drop a class after I have already
registered?
Fill out a Change of Registration (Add/Drop) Form, have
your advisor (and instructor, in the case of adding a class after
the first week) sign it, and return it to the Office of the
Registrar within the deadlines. Consult the academic calendar for
deadlines.
What if I want to add or drop a class after the
deadline?
Once registration is closed, a class may not be added or
dropped, but can be withdrawn from, if done by the end of the tenth
week for traditional daytime students, and prior to the sixth week
of class for PSP students. (The registration deadline for
traditional daytime students closes at the end of the second week
of classes; for PSP students, the add deadline is one week prior to
the class start date, and the drop deadline is at the end of the
first week of class.) To withdraw from a class, fill out a "Change
of Registration (Add/Drop Form)" (see above link) and choose
"withdraw," have the appropriate people sign it, and return it to
the Office of the Registrar. A "W" will appear on your transcript
if the class was withdrawn while passing. A "WF" will appear
if withdrawn while failing. You may petition the deadlines using
the Academic
Petition Form
How do I know what the registration deadlines
are?

calendar.
