In the heart of campus, the Beacon Beanery is the perfect place to take a break from classes and studying.
The Beacon Beanery is located on the first floor of the Burke-Griffeth Residence Hall and continues to be one of most popular hangout spaces on campus!
The Beanery provides students with an eatery option that is convenient and friendly for early morning coffee, snacks in between class, or space to study with fellow students. The Beacon Beanery also provides a variety of NCU apparel and merchandise to purchase for those wanting to show off their Beacon Pride!

Beacon Beanery Bucks $ Program
Each resident that lives on campus automatically receives $300 in Beacon Beanery Bucks per academic year as a part of their meal plan. The $300 ($150 per semester) is put on an account in the resident’s name for quick and easy charges directly on their account just by showing their NCU student-ID card. Beacon Beanery Bucks are for food and beverage purchases only since it is a portion of the resident’s meal plan, merchandise must be purchased separately.
Commuter students may also purchase Beacon Beanery Bucks to create an account for easy access to food and beverages by completing the Commuter Meal Plan Form. Beacon Beanery Bucks can not only be used for food and beverages available in the Beanery, but also to purchase a one-time meal ticket for the cafeteria if desired.
Employment Opportunities
The Beacon Beanery is staffed and run by students under the leadership of Residence Life, so the atmosphere is energetic and inviting, making it a great place to work. Students interested in working in the Beanery can apply each fall during the annual employment process or throughout the year as positions become available.
