Residency Requirement

All students who have completed fewer than 89 credits and who are under 21 year of age shall live on campus. Exemptions to the housing policy are reviewed by the Housing Exemption Committee. An Exemption Request form to move off campus should be submitted to the Office of Student Life by June 1st for Fall Housing or November 1st for Spring Housing.

Important Housing Dates

Priority Housing Application - May 1st
Petition to live off campus/meal plan waivers - May 1st
Housing Fees become non-refundable - June 1st
Roommate assignments sent out - Mid-July
Athlete Camps - August (contact coaches for specific dates)
Fall Orientation - August (refer Orientation schedule to exact date)

Halls close for winter break - Saturday after finals (refer to Academic Calendar for exact date)
Spring Orientation - January (refer to Orientation schedule)

Check-In

New student check-in happens on the first day of Orientation in the fall and spring. Specific move-in information will be sent with Orientation materials. The Residence Life team will meet you at the end of the Orientation "check-in/registration" tables where you will receive your key and room condition form.

If you do not arrive during Orientation check-in times, please call the Resident Assistant on duty at 541-517-1379 or make prior arrangements with the Office of Student Life at 541-684-7345.

Check-Out

Weeks prior to the end of the semester, an all hall meeting will be held where the Residence Life will pass out specific instructions pertaining to check-out procedures. The checkout deadline is the Saturday following finals week at 12:00 noon. Please make appropriate plans to meet this deadline. If you are a part of the graduation process, please contact Residence Life to arrange for an extension.
