Application Process

We are excited to welcome you to the NCU campus community. To begin the process, you will need to complete an application and submit the necessary application materials. We are happy to help you through this process, so if you have any questions, be sure to contact the admissions office for assistance.


Apply to NCU

Step 1: Submit Your Application

Fill out, verify, and submit your application online for free. NCU accepts applications on a rolling basis throughout the year.

Free Online Application
This is the preferred application method for students seeking admission into the Adult Degree Program.

Apply for Readmission
This application is for students who have attended NCU as an ADP student within the last two years.

Non-Degree Seeking Application
This application is for students who would like to take a class without seeking a degree.

Step 2: Submit Transcripts

Submit official transcripts from any colleges or universities you attended prior to applying at NCU.

If you have less than 12 semester (18 quarter) credits, you may also be required to submit your official high school transcript.

Step 3: Submit your FAFSA

Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and have it sent to NCU (003208), if using financial aid.

GPA Requirements

NCU recommends a cumulative GPA of 2.0* or higher for students bringing in transfer credits, or a high school GPA of at least 2.5.

*A cumulative GPA of 2.75 is required for admission into NCU’s RN to BSN program. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required for admission into NCU’s RN to MSN program.

What if I do not meet the Admission Requirements?
Applicants who do not meet these academic standards may be considered by the Admissions Committee for conditional admission on a case-by-case basis. Additional documentation may be required. Please speak with your Enrollment Advisor for more details.

Upon Completion

Once you have submitted all documentation, applicants are generally notified of a decision within two weeks of completing their application for admission. Applicants approved for admission are asked to meet with an Enrollment Advisor to review their transfer evaluation and discuss registration details.
