Favorite NCU Memory:
I love chapel at NCU, I’m not even going to try to single out one favorite. Between our awesome worship teams and amazing speakers (both guests and otherwise) I always walk away with something worthwhile.
Best Part of My Job:
Helping students solve their financial problems. There’s nothing greater than helping people find a way to be at NCU when they though there was no way they could pull it off. It’s always a team effort and it’s one of the most gratifying parts of my role at NCU.
Favorite Hangout Spot in Eugene:
Anywhere that’s small and quiet with good food and/or good coffee. My favorite thing about Eugene is all the unique local places we have available to us. So whether I’m eating a plate of Dirty Fries at the Elkhorn or sipping a cup of coffee at Vectors I’ve always got a lot of great options.
Tips For College Success:
Be proactive. Struggling with a course? Ask for help from the prof or a classmate who seems to get it. Wishing for a mentor? Take the initiative to ask someone you respect to coffee (and offer to pay). Struggling to find a job? Ask someone in Career Development for help with your Resume. Most of the best things in life don’t “just happen,” they take initiative on our parts to make them happen.
Favorite Bible Verse:
But if I say, “I will not mention his word or speak anymore in his name,” his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot. (Jeremiah 20:9, NIV)
