Dave Quirk arrived at NCU in 2012, but had been an active Adjunct Instructor with NCU since 2006. His primary teaching schedule includes management, strategic management, human resource management, computer sciences, and numerous other business-based disciplines. He brings over 25 years of teaching expertise to the classroom.
Lieutenant Commander Quirk spent 22 years in the U.S. Navy: 4 years enlisted and 18 years as an officer. Of the latter, he was an Operations Officer on both a US Frigate and Cruiser, and a Commanding Officer of two Navy Reserve Centers here in Oregon. Dave also spent 4 years as an environmental services manager to two remote facilities and was responsible for over $1.5 million in annual revenues. Dave previously held the position of Director for both the MBA and Business Adult Degree Programs, and is currently serving as Assistant Professor of Management in the MBA, Adult Study, and Undergraduate curriculums. A former Vestry Member of St Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Eugene as the Junior Warden, Dave stays busy but always has time to talk business “shop” with his students.
