Dr. Veltri arrived at NCU in 2016. She serves as the Associate Dean of Nursing and teaches within the RN to BSN and MSN programs. She completed her bachelor of science in nursing at Whitworth College in 1996. Her area of clinical expertise is maternal-newborn nursing and she is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, International Honor Society of Nursing.

Dr. Veltri began teaching nursing upon completion of her graduate studies at Gonzaga University (2002) and the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee (2010). Her research experience is related to clinical learning and simulation in nursing. While teaching at Oregon Health & Science University, School of Nursing she created and implemented two maternal-newborn simulations that contributed to student learning of normal and complicated nursing care of postpartum women and newborns.
