NCU’s Response to CoVID-19
We are actively engaged in monitoring the coronavirus COVID-19 situation. As the nation responds to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are adjusting our admissions processes to offer greater flexibility to students and their families. Below you will find information and resources that will help you move forward with your plan to study at NCU. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected.
Updates to our Admissions Process
How to contact us
Our team is still able to review applications, process materials and relay decisions. There are several ways to contact us:
Due to social distancing measures put in place by Oregon Governor Kate Brown, we are not currently offering visit/tour options on NCU’s campus. For the time being, we are offering personalized virtual visits with our admissions team. These visits still qualify you for the $500 Visit Scholarship.
School closures and test cancellations
We understand that some students attend schools that are temporarily closed. Additionally, some required tests (ACT, SAT, IB/AP testing) have been cancelled. With that, we are waiving our SAT/ACT requirements and accepting unofficial transcripts to complete your application. We will only require an official transcript once your school is back open.
If you are unsure of your application status, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We understand uncertainties exist for families right now, and you may need extra time to navigate the changing circumstances and make the right college decision. Our class and housing registration process will still begin in May, so make sure you get your enrollment deposit submitted by May 1, 2020 if you know you’ll be Bushnell bound this fall. But, due to current events all deposits will be refundable until June 1, 2020.
Spring admissions events
Due to social distancing measures put in place by Oregon Governor Kate Brown, the following events have been cancelled:
- Admitted Student Receptions
- Preview Days
- Information Sessions
International student visas
We hope visa processes will be unaffected by the health emergency. However, we will continue monitoring travel recommendations provided by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We will proceed accordingly to ensure the well-being of our campus community and safe arrival of all incoming students.
If we anticipate any delays or difficulties in issuing visas or international travel, we will update this page and communicate directly with affected students.
Can I still apply to NCU?
Yes, this will not affect your ability to apply to NCU. We accept the Common Application or our NCU application. Go to our Apply Now page to submit your application today. All application fees are waived at this time.
