Christian Ministry

The purpose of the Christian Ministry major is to prepare NCU students to serve Christ and the Church as God has gifted and called them, both as professionals and as volunteers.

Each faculty member has years of continued experience in the life of the church. Our goal is to train you for the missional task in the Lord’s work. Our academics are interconnected with real life ministry with a goal to create a passion for God’s Word and God’s world.

You will choose from four concentrations which allow you to focus on the subject matter that is important to you. Concentrations available are:

  • Christian Apologetics
  • Missions
  • Pastoral Ministry
  • Youth Ministry

Along with professors who offer insight and experience within your area of specialty, you will have the added benefit of studying at a liberal arts institution where faith is the cornerstone of all academic study. The result is that you get a broad knowledge base supporting your specific ministry focus, making you more relevant to the spiritual needs of those you will serve. Our program is excellent preparation for any graduate or professional program for which a liberal arts background is helpful, including law, management, and political science.
